Philosophy department is one of the most prior departments of Mushalpur College.
Philosophy as a subject is opened when the college is established in 1993. At
present there are three faculty members in this department. Our subject
(philosophy) does not have an admission policy. It admits anyone and everyone
that has the bare minimum. In fact that was it’s a vowed motto at inception and
that still is its motto- not to make any discrimination between the meritorious and
the non- meritorious and debar anyone that has poor marks at H.S. examination.
At present it has both Honours and Pass course facility.
MISSION
The department of philosophy of Mushalpur College provides quality education to
the students. The department encourages the students to approach education as a
lifelong learning process and also provides the spiritual and ethical learning.
Besides the department initiates the learning techniques through philosophical
method and enhance the mental power of the students to overcome the critical
situation. It also urges to make them responsible for the society.
VISION
The prime vision of the department of philosophy is to transform the subject
to a excellent one.
We shall strive to provide students a conductive ethos for learning and
development of skills not simply for living and livelihood but also to face the
challenges of a rapidly evolving society and to make the students better human
being.
