MAJ = Major; MIN=Minor; MINA = Minor A; MINB = Minor B; IDC = Interdisciplinary; AEC = Ability Enhancement Course; S EC = Skill Enhancement Course; VAC =Value Added Course. REM =Research Methodology, INT= Internship, ADL =Advanced Learning.
Numerical figures-First digit=Course level; Second &Third digit=Sl. No. of Course in the category (Paper serial Number) and Last digits=Credits. e.g., MAJ1014 . Students willing to pursue 3 years UG Degree with Minor shall have choose two minors (MINA and MINB) in the first semester. Students willing to pursue 4 years UG Degree with Major and Minor shall have choose one Major (MAJ) and one Minor (MIN) in the first semester. Students must choose IDC from the pool of courses not studied at 10+2 level.

Structure of the Course

Multiple Entry and Exit, type of degrees to be awarded.

Exit at 1st year (Exit-I: UG Certificate):

In addition to a minimum of 40 credit earned, the student will require to complete a mandatory 4 credit work based vocational course or internship/apprenticeship offered during summer term. This is an addition to the 6 credits from the skill based courses earned during first and second semester.

Exit at 2nd Year (Exit-II: UG Diploma):

In addition to a minimum of 80 credit earned, the student will require to complete a mandatory 4 credit work based vocational course or internship/apprenticeship offered during first year or second year summer term.

Exit at 3rd Year (Exit-III: Bachelor Degree in the Subject studied) :

Degree in relevant discipline/subject will be awarded for those who pursue 3-year UG programme and secure 120 credits

Exit at 4th Year (Exit-IV: Four Year Degree Course):

There is provision for two types of Four Year Degree Course.
a. Four Year Degree with Honours: A 4-year program (160 credits) providing intensive knowledge in a single major discipline. The students are suitable for aiming for advance roles or specialized Master's programs.
b. Four Year Degree with Honours and Research: Honours with Research will be awarded if the student completes a rigorous research project of 12 credit in their major area(s) of study under the guidance of faculty member. The students are expected to complete the Research Project in the eighth semester. The research outcomes of their project work may be published in peer-reviewed journals or may be presented in conferences/seminars or may be patented.

Medium of Instruction

English and Assamese is the medium of instruction. As per the guidelines of NEP-2020 the class transactions are also held in the regional languages for the better understanding of the students of the course contents.
